The White-throated Sparrow comes in two color forms: white-crowned and tan-crowned. They sing a pretty, wavering whistle of Oh-sweet-Canada. They are most often found on the ground in woods and at brushy edges and are ground nesters. White-throated Sparrow and the Dark-eyed Junco occasionally mate and produce grayish, dully marked White-throated Sparrows with white outer tail feathers.
